Three Days and Three Nights
27 March 2016 PM – Matthew 12:40 – Resurrection – Scott Childs
Introduction: Read Matthew 12:40. This verse tells us clearly that Jesus was going to be in the ground three days and three nights. This fact does not line up with the common teaching that Jesus died on Friday.
Transition: This evening as we prepare for the Lord’s Supper, I want us to examine several Bible verses that will help us to determine a more likely day that Jesus died.

Conclusion: Though it is still difficult to be certain of the timing of each of the events around the crucifixion, I trust this gives us a better perspective.
