Doctrine is teaching or instruction. Bible doctrine is teaching or instruction found in the Bible. Doctrine describes how to be saved, how to have a flourishing relationship with God, how to witness for the Lord, the need to separate from sin, how to have victory over temptation, how to conduct our local church, future events, […]
“A joy shared is a double joy, but a burden shared is half a burden.” – Bob Russell When burdens weigh us down, it often helps to remember that we are not alone. Burdens are part of life. Domestic or family burdens, though they vary in kind, are also part of every family. Transition This […]
A recipe is a list of ingredients and instructions for making something. If the recipe is accurate and you follow it exactly, the result will be the same each time. In Genesis 24, God gives us His recipe for finding a godly spouse. Transition In this chapter, I found seven ingredients in God’s recipe for […]
The devil will use every means possible to oppose Bible doctrine and the work of God. We find an example of this in Acts 20:28-31. Transition Paul told Titus that he must appoint elders who would be able to quash three kinds of opposition. We must learn to quash them as well. Rebellious Opposition (v.10-11) […]

According to the Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament, “Generally the word [tempted] means prove, test, put to the test, rather than the current English idea of “entice to do wrong.” God did not tempt Abraham to sin but tested his character with a trial. Cyclones are trials […]
Among the duties of life that I tend to neglect are washing the car, bathing the dog, mowing the lawn, and visiting the dentist. You could probably make a list of duties that you neglect as well. Neglect is not limited to our physical duties. It often creeps into our spiritual duties as well. Transition […]
In a running relay race, the first runner must pass on his baton to the next runner. He must pass it within a short period. The next runner must not drop it. If the second runner does not receive and carry the baton, they will lose the race no matter how fast they run. Today, […]
